Black Lives Matter

We’ve spent the last few weeks learning more deeply about systemic racism and Black history in our country, and having discussions and readings with our communities.

In solidarity with Black Lives Matter, we will be donating a percentage of our Bookshop.org sales to the Ella Baker Center for Human Rights. Based in Oakland, they’ve worked to reform prisons and policing on a local and national level for the past 20 years. Every month, we will be donating to a different community organization that is doing on-the-ground work in their communities.

This project is a platform to amplify narratives from Chinatown seniors, an often unheard perspective. We’re committed to continuing to listen and share overlooked histories. Thank you for being here to honor these important stories.
